GATES HOLLOW/WEST WASHINGTON STREET
SURVEY

October 3, 2017

RE:  Survey for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding

Bradford City Water Authority is interested in requesting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to assist with the expense of undertaking a possible Gates Hollow/West Washington Street water line extension.  If eligible for this funding, the Authority would be able to request CDBG funding for this potential project and other projects that could benefit the Gates Hollow/West Washington Street area.

The CDBG program is a federal grant program available to low to moderate income (LMI) municipalities, communities or project areas.  To be eligible for CDBG funds, at least 51% of the households in a municipality or project area being served have to be LMI.  The only way to determine LMI percentage in a project area is to conduct an income survey of the residents.

If the survey results in the Gates Hollow/West Washington Street area are eligible for CDBG funding, Bradford City Water Authority can annually request County CDBG funds for five years before another survey will need to be done.

Below is a link to the survey form.  We are asking for your cooperation by filling out this form and returning it to the
Bradford City Water Authority, 28 Kennedy Street, Bradford PA  16701 by October 20, 2017.

All information will be kept strictly confidential and will be used only to determine if the Gates Hollow/West Washington Street area is eligible for CDBG funding.

The Bradford City Water Authority would like to thank you for your cooperation in this matter.  Should you have any questions concerning this survey that you need answered prior to responding please contact our office at 814-362-3004

Sincerely,
